Season in the sun》本是比利时诗人作曲家Jacques Brel 1961年写的法文歌词 "Le Moribond" (The Dying Man)。经由Rod McKuen 翻译成英文并由Kingston Trio金斯顿三重唱的Bob Shane 录音发行，但没红起来。Terry Jacks 听过之后，为了纪念他的一位死去的好朋友，再度翻唱起来。

      Westlife版的《Season in the sun》早已深入人心，今天给大家介绍Black box recorder(黑匣子记录器)所演唱的版本。

      乐队组建于1998年，两个主将Luke Haines，John Moore分别是The Auteurs和Jesus And Mary Chain的成员。聆听他们的歌词，有对周遭社会的病诟，对流行文化的辛辣讽刺，对青年生活的关照，童年回忆的迷恋，悲观的处世态度，仿佛一朵"恶之花”，妖艳的外表之下骨子里却尽是些腐烂的东西。90年代以来另类音乐的一条不成文的规矩:用易碎的少女腔唱出渲染灵魂的流放。Low，Mazzy star都这样走了过来被我们接受，可是有别于这些乐队BBR(BLACK BOX RECORDER的简称)用最有效的方式揭示感情的细节。年轻,性感,甜蜜,美好的声音却唱出了阴冷的思想内涵。

      记得前些年听过该乐队的《girl singing in the wreckage》,你能从主唱懒洋洋的调子中感觉生活步子的闲逸，没有打扰，自我陶醉。“糖衣般的调子、懒洋洋的配乐、美丽性感的女歌声，唱着的竟是一些关于失落、悲观、自杀、甚至乎变态的歌词，对比就像地狱与天堂……淡淡的演唱着自己的患得患失，带着浓浓的黑色幽默。他们唱着Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it!一边又唱着It's so wonderful life。”
